Rodrigo Mendoza has excelled in his work in the performing and visual arts. He has been music director, producer, arranger, and orchestrator for many popular artists such as: Rocío Durcal, Pandora, Cristian Castro, Sergio Dalma, Secret Garden, Michael Bolton, Miguel Bosé, Armando Manzanero, Plácido Domingo, Fermatta, Sergio Dalma, Marcos Llunas, and a long list of Mexican and foreign singers.



He has written more than 135 scores for dance, film, TV and theat for the CNT (National Theatre Company) as well as for directors such as Gabriel Retes, and the CND (National Dance Company). Rodrigo Mendoza has composed for musicals such as "Dragons" and "Re-Evolution", as well as being the author of an award-winning Jazz fusion album in Europe amongst other works.



He has been the musical director of several programs on Televisa such as: Mala Noche No, Siempre en Domingo, La Movida, etc. He has studied in highly prestigious schools: The Juilliard School Of Music, Berklee, CIEM, Escuela Nacional de Música, Escuela Superior de Musica (Jazz Department) with teachers like: Milton Babbitt, Fred Lerdhal, Jeff Rona, Mark Isham, Mario Lavista, Franco Donatonni, Víctor Rasgado, Juan Trigos, Mark Levine, Ludmila Ulela and a long list. He has written the music for more than 85 professional shows as well as winning awards around the world for his work (APT, Meet the composer, Arts International, IIE, IAJE, Festival D’estate, etc.). Rodrigo has worked with directors of the stature of Héctor Mendoza, Iona Weissberg, David Olguín, Ricardo Ramírez Carnero, José Ramón Enríquez, Raúl Zermeño, José Caballero, María Moret and Álvaro Hegewisch, Andrea Pasciotto, Leslie Lee, Cynthia Rhodes, among others. He has written 4 music theory books. He is a member of the IAJE (International Association of Jazz Educators) and has taught in the best music schools in Mexico for more than 37 years.
